Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for profitable sales growth, and customer satisfaction with assigned domestic Food Ingredient customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct account contact responsible for growing profitable sales volume and retaining key accounts. Responsible for prospecting, qualifying and acquiring new customers. Responsible for conducting research on current customers and prospects to insure a customized sales call approach. Generate and/or respond to customer requests to promote the sale of products. Develops and executes strategic key account plans which include portfolio strategies to maximize our business growth profitably. Proactively provide information regarding product features, benefits, price and availability. In-depth understanding of market dynamics and contracting methods (Urner Barry, Grain Based etc) Provides effective communication with customer concerning all administrative aspects of the quotation and agreement/contract process. Effectively manages contracts throughout term including renewals, annual inflation, balances etc. Coordinate with all internal groups to achieve acceptable service levels and provide continuing visibility of contractual obligations and customer demand. Effectively responds to customer questions or provides resources for technical support, logistics and other relevant information that the customer may require. Monitors sales trends, takes corrective action and delivers general reporting to highlight key account performance. Creates an annual business plan and provides updated volume projections as required. Assist in the launch of new products. Accurately forecast monthly demand/results by customer and product group. Acquires and maintains familiarity with Food Ingredients industry developments and opportunities. Maintains an accurate and updated CRM database. Travel up to 40% Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in food sales. Possess commodity and value-added product selling experience. Possess supply chain and project management experience. Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving/decision making skills, and analytical skills. Highly motivated individual able to work in fast-paced environment. Computer skills required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Minimum of 5 years of outside sales and customer interface experience in food sales; food science background and/or product development experience is preferred; possess commodity and value-added product selling experience. Egg based food ingredient sales experience and established customer relationships preferred
