    Objectives:

    The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all manufacturing functions and management of Manufacturing Team Leaders who provide supervision of production personnel involved in the manufacture of medical devices for the Clearwater plant. Manages manufacturing activities to support customer service, operating plan, compliance to policies and regulations, project leadership, communications and effective use of capital and resources.

    Responsbilities:

    • Directs the manufacturing group daily to ensure production output meets all specified requirements of quality, schedule, cost, and design.

    • Establish and maintain Production goals in line with operating plan and forecasts.

    • Plans staffing requirements and provides adequate equipment to ensure production goals are achieved.

    • Develops production standards for each operation for yearly costing for each product.

    • Responsible for setting yearly budgets in accordance with corporate guidelines and monitoring activity throughout the year. Deviations from the budget are elevated to the attention of the Director of Operations.

    • Responsible for interviewing, selection, and performance management of Production personnel. Works in tandem with departmental staff members as appropriate (i.e., HR, Finance and Quality).

    • Analyzes daily production efficiencies, yields, and performance of each production area to ensure standards are met. Incorporate LEAN methodologies/tools into the manufacturing process to gain efficiency.

    • Directs manufacturing supervision in each major area of production to ensure proper controls exist to meet all production requirements. Maintains accountability for implementation of all operating procedures.

    • Responsible for overseeing the training of new and existing manufacturing employees according to policies and procedures.

    • Provide departmental direction and management leadership. Implement world class manufacturing initiatives by effectively managing internal/external resources.

    • Lead and support CIP projects. Exhibits project leadership with self and direct reports. Manages the execution of project plans.

    • Conducts Production meetings as necessary to ensure proper communications are established within the department.

    • Responsible for compliance with all safety, health, regulatory and loss prevention practices.

    • Ongoing review of the effectiveness of risk management activities ensuring that policies, procedures, and practices are established and documented for analyzing, evaluating, and controlling product risk throughout product realization.

    Requirements:

    • BS/BA degree in a business or technical discipline. Advance degree preferred.

    • 7+ years of progressive experience in key leadership/management at a manufacturing facility.

    • Previous medical device manufacturing supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge of regulatory rules and guidelines as related to class III medical device products.

    • Experience supervising twenty-five or more employees, involving a strong combination of manufacturing and machine process production methods.

    • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing, quality, process and human resources principles in a low volume, high mix regulated environment.

    • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets/presentations using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)

    • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as six sigma, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
