    Summary of Job Function: Under the direction of the Regional Director Cancer Services, the Radiation Oncology Manager will coordinate and provide oversight of the daily billing and applicable data submission. Assists and reviews all patient charges for Radiation Oncology daily billing and assists with the accurate transfer of information to the Radiation Therapy information system. In collaboration with clinical staff, investigates, clarifies, and implements any new billing procedures with strict adherence to federal and state regulations.

    Oversees all clinical and non-clinical operations of Radiation Oncology. Provides supervision of clerical staff and all clerical/financial functions within the department.

    Maintains and assists in the coordination of quality assurance/CQI program. Assists with the Coordination/Maintenance American College of Radiology- Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation ACR-ROPA.

    Establishes and maintains Radiation Oncology Dept. specific policy and procedures.

    Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

    Insure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

    Job Qualifications: ARRT Certification/Associates Degree preferred. Leadership experience in ambulatory care setting required with knowledge of Radiation Oncology outpatient coding and billing preferred. Three to five years prior staff therapist experience a plus. BLS required.
