Manager, Sales Administration

Job Summary:

The Manager, Sales Administration will lead the daily, monthly and quarterly order management functions for inbound customers (who provide battery materials to Li-Cycle) and outbound customers (who purchase the products produced at our various assets.) The focus for this role is the North American market for inbound shipments and global markets for outbound shipments working in partnership with our team in Asia.

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and top performer to join our team in this role with experience supporting customers in a B2B environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Personnel management of a small team of sales administration representatives for both inbound and outbound shipments

• Ensure that all required customer, compliance and regulatory requirements are completed prior to inbound and outbound shipments occurring.

• Resolve any discrepancies with clients related to differences in weights, material type, etc.

• Ensure that all purchase orders, sales orders, settlements and invoices are prepared in a timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy before sending to customers and finance.

• Work with auditors to comply with the financial controls that have been established, but also look for ways to streamline processes to increase efficiency while maintaining control.

• Be a central point of contact for customer questions related to payments or other items.

• Participate in teams to continually improve our IT systems and processes to increase quality and gain efficiencies.

• Collaborate with counterparts in the European team to continually improve and optimize inbound processes.

Job Qualifications:

• University Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics preferred

• Minimum 10 years of experience in administration and customer management roles

• Experience working closely with Finance departments in order to ensure compliance with accounting processes in a public company

• Experience in recycling or commodity management preferred

• Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Ability to assign and delegate work, problem solve, answer questions and evaluate results of performance

• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts

• Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects

• Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles

• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
