Mid-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Project Engineer/Project Manager to help expand and grow Carollo's water and sewer infrastructure practice in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in water and sewer pipeline design and planning, in particular design of pipeline rehabiltation, sewer and water condition assessment, and trenhless technologies. The successful candidate would bring project management and business development experience, provide strategic analysis and planning for project pursuits, and will play a key role in expanding Carollo's buried infrastructure practice in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure

• Work on engineering planning, condition assessment, and design projects

• Develop plans and specifications

• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects

• System modeling

• Permitting and alternative analysis

• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables

• Data entry and analysis

• Provide engineering services during construction

• Participate in field activities such as pilot testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• 6 to 12 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering

• Registration as a Professional Engineer

• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Work well in a team environment

• Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering
