    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented S enior Program Director/General Manager to join our team!

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    As Sr Program Director/General Manager of the New Jersey Vehicle Inspection Program, this position provides direction and management for every phase of this significant project serving the motorists of New Jersey and representing the State Motor Vehicle Commission. The position assures ongoing operations within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Sr Program Director/General Manager must be capable of managing a project or program valued up to $100 million in revenue. This position requires a strong financial management background.

    Prior experience must include significant project management at the program director level. Experience should also include operations management of personnel and facilities and management of employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Residence in New Jersey and a commutable distance to the Parsons office in Hamilton, NJ is required

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Managing the day-to-day operations of the NJ State Vehicle Inspection Program

    • Interfacing with labor unions is necessary

    • Overseeing a team of approximately 8-10 managers and 25 state vehicle locations.

    • Creating budgets to meet program objectives

    • Managing P&L and reporting through Parsons senior management

    • Desired: Strong negotiation skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field

    • 20+ years of related work experience and broad general technical and business background and previous project management experience on similar or related large-scope project types and significant project management or construction management assignments at the Principal Project Manager level and experience in operations management of personnel and facilities

    Salary Range

    $149,900.00 - $310,000.00
