The National Director provides strategic support in business development for Patient observation services and fully engages in all aspects of the sales and marketing process including conducting/coordinating surveys, preparing program costs and proposals, participating in sales presentations, overseeing operational reviews and renewals, supervising project engineers/managers and the start-up process, coordinating and supporting case studies, writing articles for publications, owning and managing training programs under MyLMS other activities that promote the growth of Patient Observation services.
In addition, National Director participates in developing programs that support the infrastructure, operations and growth of Patient Observation services nationally. Programs include but are not limited to Policies and Procedures, Training Programs, etc. The National Director is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Patient Observation Program, as well as the continuity of Company operating systems and quality standards
The National Director works across Divisional lines and closely with Regional Sales Directors, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Director, Marketing Project Manager, Divisional Presidents, Senior Directors of Operations, Regional Directors of Operations, Compass Group Support Services Development, National Director for Standardization and Systems, Project Managers, Proposal Development Managers, and Hospital Administrators and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Achieve Budget/Financial Responsibilities:
â€¢ Participates in surveys requiring high-level strategies, communication and interaction with clients and key users in large academic medical centers, health systems or critical client accounts.
â€¢ Coordinates schedules with Regional Directors for survey support
â€¢ Collects and analyzes facility data including current patient observation activity, occupancy data etc., develops appropriate staffing levels based industry standards, Company benchmarking and industry knowledge
â€¢ Surfaces hard to collect data through direct interviews, observation, experience and other methods
â€¢ Formulates an estimate of the potential client's "total program cost" including current observation spend, clinical spend and other clinical or ancillary costs
â€¢ Prepares the labor costing in accordance with Company guidelines and protocol.
â€¢ Prepares budget comparison for client in accordance with company standards
â€¢ Conducts semi-annual patient observation audits. Provides account support quarterly or as needed
â€¢ Participates in the development of TeamLEAD and other related software
â€¢ Works closely and supports Information Services management in exploring other avenues of expanding the capabilities of the software.
â€¢ Recommends system changes or modifications for consideration and strategic position within the market place.
â€¢ Participate in established committees when appropriate.
â€¢ Understands the software systems which are recommended or manufactured by the competition and is able to articulate the competitive advantage of TeamLEAD and/or the program differences.
â€¢ Supervises Project Managers or Regional Directors who oversees all start-up projects and start-up team. Communicates the details from the survey and proposal so that strategic continuity occurs during the implementation process.
â€¢ Supports the development of the start up plan, resources and other logistics related to the start up.
â€¢ Responsible for the effective and efficient utilization of resources and successful outcome.
â€¢ Ensures that implementation process is on-time and on-budget.
â€¢ Supports Regional Sales Directors, and other senior leaders in pre-survey presentations, site visits or sales calls.
â€¢ Participates in or coordinates schedules for survey support.
â€¢ Prepares for and participates in sales presentations and follow-up communications.
â€¢ Participates in conference calls to review sales strategies and program costs.
â€¢ Provides divisional performance and benchmarking records to support Program integrity for sales presentations such as cost savings, fall reduction and other key performance indicators
â€¢ Assertively markets the appropriate programs and models for each unique hospital.
â€¢ Oversees operational reviews and the renewal presentations.
â€¢ Submits bi-weekly Sales Reports to Divisional President of Patient Transportation
â€¢ Participates in and provides support for standardized orientation and training curriculum, materials and programs for all levels of personnel. Collaborates with Learning and Development leadership to enhance and update all levels of patient observation curriculum.
â€¢ Establishes and maintains "Foundations" level accounts for new and ongoing development of transport managers.
â€¢ Establishes and manages Ad-Hoc Committee that actively participates and engages a network of mangers to develop and support program materials.
â€¢ 7+ Years of Healthcare or related experience
â€¢ Strategic, critical and conceptual thinking skills.
â€¢ Aptitude for identifying DISC profiles and adapting approach to relate with clients, staff and co- workers.
â€¢ Ability to identify and solve problems at all levels.
â€¢ Ability to work independently with little supervision
â€¢ Must be willing to travel greater than 75% of time
â€¢ Insightful to recognize organizational needs and to be creative to design program materials to support them.
â€¢ Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
â€¢ Possesses guest relations and customer service skills that are genuine and noticeable.
â€¢ Demonstrates competence with computers, windows environment and keyboard.
â€¢ Demonstrates aptitude for public speaking and making formal presentations for senior level administration.
â€¢ Ability to communicate effectively - upward and downward within the company, client organizations and the Industry in a genuine and honest manner from the hourly employee to the CEO.
â€¢ Ability to actively listen to clients, potential clients, peers and others in order to understand the content of the information above and below the surface, anticipates needs, formulate and execute the necessary course of action.
â€¢ Ability to work across Divisional lines and foster positive collaboration in order to accomplish the larger goals of the company.
â€¢ Ability to manage to positive financial outcomes including but not limited to: gross profit improvement plans, new or add on sales activity, overhead and personnel adjustments etc.
