    Where the chemistry happens...

    We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division supporting our Global Business Unit (GBU) Oilfield Chemicals team at the Houston, TX office (or potentially remote location). The primary responsibility of the New Business Development Manager for Amines will be to translate and align market needs with BASF core competency in amine manufacturing. Ideally, unmet market needs would be translated into development projects with a basis in amine technology that could address market gaps in such diverse areas as H2S scavengers, Corrosion and Shale inhibitors. Correspondingly you would serve as the responsible launch manager providing the value proposition and pricing globally. You will represent related BASF technologies in the oil & gas industry and support the sales team in defending and gaining market share. By providing regularly market intelligence and related analyses to the Global Business Line Manager and the responsible Global Product Manager you are actively supporting the business steering.

    As a New Business Development Manager - Amines, You Create Chemistry By...

    • Identifying the UVP for amines in the oilfield market; and identifying BASF right to win

    • Leveraging the strengths of BASF Verbund to address the needs of the oilfield market

    • Translating unmet market needs into development priorities for the R&D team including the creation and continued review of related business cases

    • Developing and steering the launches of products and new technologies, including defining the value proposition and pricing approach

    • Supporting the sales organization with customer visits and build relationships with customer

    • Leading the efforts of BASF Oilfield Chemicals for the customer teams, representing BASF in industry networks and building relationship to decision makers along the value chains

    • Working together with Communications to develop customer presentations, marketing materials and brand management for the portfolio you are responsible for

    • Supporting commercial & leadership team providing analyses, marketing tools, digital solutions and optimal use of business processes

    • Drivng initiatives to full completion and ensuring execution in compliance of project timelines as well as safety and regulatory requirements

    • Providing market intelligence and analysis to support the Business Line Manager and responsible Global Product Manager regarding competitive activities, market needs and outlook

    If you...

    • Hold a bachelor of Science Degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry, Physics)

    • Hold a master of Science Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or other Physical Science, or Master

    • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in oilfield industry or chemical manufacturing

    • Possessing experience in the amine technology, corrosion inhibition or H2S scavengers will be considered an asset
