    The Nurse Manager is a collaborative leader of the care team and is responsible for coordinating, facilitating and integrating the optimal provision of care through fiscal and human resource management as prescribed by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. In addition, the Nurse Manager is accountable to practice in accordance with the standards established/endorsed by Trinity Oakland leadership and by external regulators and accreditation agencies. The Nurse Manager actively promotes the Trinity Oakland Model of Care and the nursing profession, in fulfillment of the Trinity Oakland Quality Plan for Nursing. The Nurse Manager is accountable to drive nursing practice through facilitation of shared governance. The Nurse Manager is expected to abide by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.

    Trinity Oakland is a longtime leader in health care in Oakland County. It includes multi-specialty centers, outpatient programs, affiliated organizations, long-term living facilities and home care. St. Joseph Mercy's 700-member medical staff represents all major specialties and subspecialties.

    Our CICU is a 12 bed centralized area to provide for the care of adult patients with acute cardiac disorders, including: acute myocardial infarction/cardiogenic shock, post cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndrome, congestive heart failure, conduction abnormalities/arrhythmias, Post intervention: cardiac stent, carotid stent, aortic endograft, Pulmonary Embolus/peripheral vascular interventions/ thrombolytic-EKOS, post valve interventions.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

    • Education

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

    • Master's degree preferred.

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    • Licensure / Certification

    • Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for specified care areas as follows: labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care required within 12 months from date of hire or transfer.

    • Experience

    • Three years' experience as Registered Nurse with demonstrated leadership ability, preferably recent work experience in specialty area.

    • Management experience preferred.
