    Position Description:

    CGI Federal is seeking a Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, manage resources, ensure efficiency, and drive productivity across departments.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Collaborates closely with the Project Manager (PM) and Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to support the overarching mission of the both domestically and overseas.

    • Supervises Operations, which includes overseeing overseas case processing, special immigrant visa processing, clearance checks, and domestic case processing. Implements cross-training initiatives to mitigate processing backlog during workload fluctuations.

    • Acts as a subject matter expert in processing procedures, including proficiency in administration, report generation techniques, statistical methods, handling congressional inquiries, and help desk procedures.

    • Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives to plan operations activities, delegate responsibilities, resolve issues, establish schedules, and ensure timely completion of work.

    • Coordinates Operations activities with Production Support, User Acceptance Testing, systems design, and prototype reviews to provide user perspective in system development and troubleshooting defects.

    • Monitors and analyzes costs, prepares budgets, and generates reports on department activities for management. Evaluates current procedures and practices to develop and implement improvements.

    • Establishes standards in line with the contractor's quality control and configuration management programs, ensures understanding among employees, evaluates performance, and provides guidance and assistance as needed. May participate in employee hiring, promotion, discharge, or transfer decisions.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience.

    • At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in a role similar to that being supervised.

    • Proficiency in preparing management, business, technical, and personnel reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external dissemination.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $140,000 - $190,000
