  • RESPONSIBILITIES

    I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Patient Service Administrative Coordinator (PSAC) provides oversight of the administrative continuity and operations coordination (not exclusive to nursing), throughout The Queens Medical Center (QMC).

    • This role is in support of the unit based, program based and senior leadership of QMC.

    • In the absence of the Senior Vice President (SVP) or Vice President (VP) of any affected area, the PSAC has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate escalation to the Administrator on-call.

    II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.

    • Frequent: Standing, walking.

    • Occasional: Sitting, stooping/bending, reaching above at, and below shoulder, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force, carrying up to 50 lbs.

    III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • May be subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

    • Area of assignment encompasses total institution.

    IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    • Current Hawaii state license as Registered Nurse.

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

    • Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

    • Current BLS certification.

    B. EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum three (3) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility.

    • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in a hospital setting or related medical field.
