Payroll Manager

Description

Experienced project professionals are encouraged to apply for Robert Half's Interim Payroll Manager role in the northern KY area. You will manage all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration) in this contract Payroll Manager role. In addition to providing excellent customer service and streamlining processes, you will work to develop timely, accurate, and compliant payrolls. Responsibilities

• Work hand-in-hand with additional members of senior Finance leadership staff to get the job done

• Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis

• Relay information and data to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and reply to any questions

• Manage payroll processing for 700+ employees

• Observe and manage internal and external audits

• Provide internal safeguards by overseeing record keeping and control systems

• Conduct accurate analysis on payroll

• Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies

• Take the lead on producing all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Decipher pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure appropriate amounts/deductions are applied accurately to different earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws

• Suggest, lead, and work on projects to review and enhance current processes

Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing full cycle payroll for 500+ employees

• Understanding of multiple payroll applications

• Good understanding of benefits administration

• Background working with Payroll Tax Reporting
