    Fairview Health Services is hiring a Pediatric Echocardiography Technician (Pediatric Sonographer) to join our team in the Pediatric Echo Lab at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital locations in Minneapolis, MN. $9,000 Sign on Bonus available!

    The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. As a Pediatric Echocardiographer, you will need to have the ability to evaluate pediatric patients with sophisticated congenital heart disease.

    Schedule : This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). This position will work Monday through Friday day shift with call (60-minute call response).

    Responsibilities Job Description

    As a Pediatric Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for:

    • Demonstrating the ability to evaluate the cardiac status by using a logical and detailed approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally.

    • Evaluating pediatric patients with sophisticated congenital heart disease

    • Providing relevant echocardiographic data, making quantitative calculations and communicating the impressions for the physicians.

    • Accurately Detail a preliminary echocardiogram report

    • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications :

    • Education

    o Associate of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging

    • License/Certification/Registration

    o Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - adult

    • Additional Requirements

    o BLS Certification within 3 months of hire

    • Experience

    o Echocardiography experience

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Education

    o Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging

    • License/Certification/Registration

    o Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - pediatric, fetal

    • Experience

    o Pediatric Echocardiography experience
