    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Nursing Practice and Operations exists to equip, advocate, and be the voice of our nurses by providing them with the resources they need to care for our patients. Through critical problem solving, analytics, and intentional discovery, the Nursing Performance and Operations Team provide HCA's leaders with data and technology-supported resources to take care of our nurses and patients. The Core Values of the Nursing Performance and Operations team are to be collaborative, analytical, and effective. This non-clinical performance improvement position leads and supports the execution of efforts related to nursing staffing and care teams, supporting HCA's 93,000 nurses and 11,600 nurse leaders, in collaboration with our clinical team members. Up to 25% travel required.

    Major Responsibilities:

    Execute the Nursing Operations agenda across the organization

    Lead efforts and/or offer subject matter expertise in developing enterprise strategies such as: staffing and productivity, operational resiliency efforts, technical advancements (including tools and/or dashboards), alternate models of patient care, reducing length of stay, and evolving business and clinical analytics

    Structure and prepare materials for review, brainstorming, design, and development sessions including agendas, facilitation plans, and meeting notes

    Gather and document business and process requirements through meetings, workshops, site visits, job shadowing, etc. with the intention of identifying opportunities for improvement

    Performance Improvement & Quality Control, Data & Analytics for Operational Support, Nursing Operations Liaison, and Implementations and Training.

    Education and Experience

    -Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or comparable experience required

    -3+ years of experience in healthcare environment with background in performance improvement, HR operations, or other comparable required

    -PMP, LEAN, or Six Sigma Certification- must obtain within one year of hire preferred

    -Strong process improvement experience in a large scale corporate environment

    -Knowledge of hospital Labor and Productivity and/or HR systems and approach (preferred)

    -Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.

    -Advanced analytical capability to use data systems and interpret output such as: Advanced Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Business Objects, etc.

    -Results-oriented with a demonstrated strong commitment and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Demonstrated history of timely delivery of cost-effective business solutions.

    -Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlines.

    -Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environment.

    -Excellent organizational skills, with special attention to detail.

    -Excellent presentation and communication skills.
