Responsible for ensuring safety in the compounding and dispensing of chemotherapy, maintaining an adequate supply of medications, minimizing drug waste, minimizing unnecessary exposure to hazardous drugs, and managing cost and reimbursement for cancer drugs.
Collaborates with providers to deliver a wide variety of services to patients, including education, monitoring for adverse effects, evaluating drug-drug and drug-disease interactions, and providing supportive care.
Provides education to patients and caregivers on treatment regimens and side effect management.
Participates in local and health-system committees evaluating formulary management, treatment protocols, compliance with regulations and improvement of patient outcomes.
Collaborates with research staff to provide investigational drug services.
Serves as an educational resource for pharmacy students, residents and other health professionals.
Participates in pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and oversees pharmacy technician activities.
Completes other duties as assigned to support the department, entity, and health-system.
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
1+ years of Oncology experience
Registered Pharmacist in PA
PGY2 Oncology Residency
Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy
