    Reporting to the Director of Operations North America, the Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing safety, quality, and customer delivery performances, as well as managing production volume, warehousing costs, productivity, and long-term and operational KPI's within ZF's Vernon Hills, Illinois Aftermarket location.

    What you can look forward to as the Plant Manager:

    • Ensure appropriate assets (manpower, equipment, infrastructure and materials) for the operations which are needed to deliver the required and agreed operational performance.

    • Lead, manage, coach, mentor and develop operational leadership to ensure that a diverse result-orientated organization is in place and is cascaded throughout all operations by means of empowerment, transparent accountability and compliance.

    • Create and promote an environment of continuous improvement, ensure a long-term vision for operations following the "ZF PS Way" with a clear correlation between action and results.

    • Establish an OP and resource / infra-structure plan in cooperation with the superior based on the ZF planning cycles.

    • Cater for the requirements of internal and external customers.

    • The Plant Manager has full EHS responsibility for VHL plant (not limited to Division B) and leads VHL leadership team to ensure that operational performance + budgets are achieved as well as Daily (SFM Process), Weekly (Site), Monthly (Performance), Quarterly and Annual (OP) Operational plans are realized.

    • Performs related tasks as needed.

    Your profile as the Plant Manager:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 5+ years relevant working experience in operations and relevant functions

    • 2+ years leadership, coaching/mentoring experience

    • A strong understanding of lean management, manufacturing, distribution and continuous improvement methodologies

    • Transformation competence and organizational development skills

    • Business / finance management expertise

    • Results-oriented approach

    • In Depth knowledge of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Distribution
