    Job Summary

    The Pricing and Benchmarking Manager for APS is the owner to manage and create costing models to support price development and maintain internal benchmarks of ABM Performance Solution (APS) services. This role will also be responsible for developing financial analysis from costing models developed by the clients, ABM's National Pricing team, and ABM's Industry Groups. This position will provide more complex financial analysis and modeling for the term of current and/or potential business related to ABM's contractual term, including developing Internal Rate of Return (IRR) models. They are responsible for aggregating pricing models and other expenses and revenues into a comprehensive model to best understand the financial impact to the bottom line and overall financial performance of the proposed business portfolio. This position supports both sales and operations for new APS sales and retention. This role will also collaborate with these departments to help document and standardize facility management service costing templates and benchmarks. Responsibilities include conducting research, developing dashboards, creating digital templates and tools, interviewing internal employees, identifying trends, analyzing vendor technology capabilities, preparing playbooks, creating training to accompany services and recommendations related to ABM's services.

    This manager will follow company procedures to facilitate and define project scope, as well as use their financial expertise to prepare effective financial models and associated bid response financial schedules for proposals to support a deadline driven environment.

    They will help other estimators with pricing schedules, participate in proposal preparation, and perform technical assessments to facilitate analysis functions. This role will prepare detailed reports based on economic assessments of key indicators, as well as assist with preapproval of estimates using limited information such as project scope and relevant precedents. Other tasks include the conducting post-project costs analyses, providing input on competitive bids negotiated contracts, conducting data collection, and developing models.

    This role will be an individual contributor and will also support the APS Solutioning Directors. This role will report to the VP of APS Solutioning.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serves as lead in developing analysis and modeling tools to support cost creation, price development and maintain internal benchmarks of ABM Performance Solution (APS) services

    • Create and maintain a knowledge bank of all internal benchmarks and industry benchmarks

    • Lead work with solutioning leaders to develop a digital solutioning tool

    • Partner with National Pricing Team, Industry Groups and Functional Business groups to establish standard templates, forms and digital tools.

    • Develop single or multi service price schedules for new and existing business bid responses

    • Assist in the completion of Deal Memos and other internal documents to validate financial viability of current and new business processes

    • Provide insight into the financial viability of new business growth and existing business opportunities as they relate to meeting ABM's protocols financial goals

    • Provide insight into proposed investments and return to ensure positive financial results can be achieved

    • Attends current and potential client presentations when necessary to communicate proposed financial modeling and responding to client inquiries related to the models in large complex deal

    • Assists sales and operations team in completing financial components of internal memos and other required documents to validate alignment of proposed figures with company financial goals

    • Identify and resolve deviations from the proposal, including scope and specifications

    • Provides insight into key data indicators in regards to labor, food and supplies, material, and time requirements based on provided statistical goals.

    • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

    • Occasionally attend complex site tours to understand client requirements and aggregate pricing and costing estimates developed by the operations and pricing teams.

    • Review proposed and/or existing Scope of Work documentation to ensure complete pricing and costing of all RFP requirements are met

    • Supports field operations pricing, costing and operational competitiveness

    • Responsible for standardized tools for labor loading across all service lines that support business development growth and operational competitiveness

    • Provide other financial analysis needs as necessary

    Job Qualifications and Desired Attributes:

    • Bachelor's degree preferably in Management Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Business Information Systems, or Facilities related curriculum, and/or equivalent work experience.

    • Extremely proficient with tools like Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet

    • Experience with using and applying Benchmarking, Trend Analysis, and Metrics from groups such as BOMA, IFMA, ISSA, APPA, RSMeans

    • Comprehensive understanding of finance, financial modeling, facility management, service-related metrics, and business calculations

    • Helpful (but not required) to understand CRM and ~~~

    • Must be able to work with Microsoft suite of products such as PowerPoint, PBI, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and OneNote

    • Familiarity with low code platforms such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Microsoft BI, Microsoft PowerApps or others that produce entirely operational applications and data.

    • 5+ years of experience in standardizing forms and building templates to ensure consistency across multiple entities related to built environments.

    • General familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, JDE, SAP

    • Ability to engage clients at a senior level and lead/support client business reviews, client presentations and client retention initiatives

    • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and lay the foundation for continued growth and partnership.

    • Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients

    • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.

    • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization

    • Must be well-informed of market trends, regulations, and best practice in maintaining and operating built environments as well as being willing to participate in panel discussions, conferences, network organizations, and focus groups

    • Must understand accounts receivable processes, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and general knowledge of financial performance to achieve positive value for ABM and our stockholders

    • Proven self-starter with leadership and ability to collaborate in a dynamic diverse environment
