About the Role:

Confluent is looking for an experienced marketing leader with a unique blend of experience across product marketing, technical infrastructure, and narrative storytelling to lead a new function within the Product Marketing team. The Principal Product Manager for Keynotes and Technical Narratives will own how our products and company show up at our biggest and most important events, from keynotes at our large conferences with more than 2000 in-person attendees, to the smaller but critical customer interactions our sales teams and executives have on a regular basis.

As a successful candidate for this role, you have a track record of being able to craft compelling narratives that resonate with a mix of audiences, from developers and architects through to business executives and analysts. You'll also have a record of working alongside technically sophisticated leaders to develop these materials.

What You Will Do:

• Own and drive content and messaging for keynotes and other strategic company and industry events

• Work closely with our executive leadership as well as product and GTM leaders from across the company to ensure all of our initiatives come together into a single, consistent story

• Deliver materials that clearly articulate Confluent's value to a variety of personas (architects, developers, operators, execs) based on their understanding and awareness of Kafka, Flink, and data streaming

• Partner with design and production teams to deliver compelling, high-production value events that inform and delight our customers

• Provide guidance to marketing and content teams that are driving derivative assets from the key narratives you will drive

• Contribute to strategic initiatives within marketing, like new branding efforts, new product launches, and more

What You Will Bring:

• 10+ years of product and/or technical marketing experience with specific experience building compelling, high-production value keynote content

• Proven track record of working directly with C-Suite/senior leadership team members to create and refine materials

• Exceptionally strong communication skills, with an understanding of how to create a consistent narrative that works at different technical altitudes (developers and architects through to executives and press)

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams with team members across multiple company areas, including marketing, product management, engineering, sales and investor relations

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $151,700 - 178,200, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
