  • Actalent Services is hiring a Project Manager reporting to the Director of the project management office. The Project Manager will work closely with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, delivery leadership, finance, and various other departments to plan, monitor, control, and execute various types of projects which will impact the Actalent Services organization and maximize business opportunities for the company.

    The project manager plans, organizes and monitors one or more projects to meet the defined requirements or business specifications. In collaboration with the stakeholders, s/he identifies and requests necessary colleagues, determines tasks that must be completed, assigns tasks, and motivates team members to work together for the success of the project. The Project Manager is responsible for tracking progress on tasks while comparing it to what was planned. S/he will effectively form relationships and work with an array of internal stakeholders and external suppliers/partners.

    Essential Functions

    Clarifies project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with executive sponsors, leadership and stakeholders.

    Clarifies project success criteria and disseminates them to stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

    Leads the development and management of the project work plan, including work sequencing, work breakdown structure, work delivery schedule, and resource allocation.

    Estimates the resources needed to achieve project goals. e.g. project team members, subject matter experts and technology tools.

    Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.

    Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule.

    Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

    Communicates risks, needs, and status to stakeholders.

    Serves as a consultant and subject matter expert to business partners on effective project management practices and tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, Master's degree preferred

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 year's experience with project scopes of organizational change, technology implementation, and/or acquisition integration.

    • Previous professional experience working for a consulting & services company.

    • Strong knowledge of effective project management principles including PMBOK.

    • Desired certifications include PMP, CAPM, PMI-RMP, Six Sigma Black Belt.

    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to all levels of organization, up to executive stakeholders

    • Ability to travel on national scale, up to 25%
