  • GENERAL PURPOSE

    The Project Manager I - Digital Health is a member of a cross-functional team where teamwork, collaboration, balancing competing priorities and continuous learning are the norm. Responsibilities include managing projects in the digital health portfolio, end-to-end project management services of small to medium projects, and change management support of operational changes. The role will report to the Medical Faculty Group project management team with dotted line accountability to the Technology Project Portfolio Office. Projects may have enterprise impact. Conforms to established guidelines, standards and conventions for project management and business requirements documentation.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages a variety of projects and enhancements independently. Assess the work to determine the best methodology and approach to deliver value (Agile, waterfall, or hybrid approach). Gathers input from team members on required tasks and translates into a project plan with tasks, activities, dependencies, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables. Monitors progress of project activities and ensures all critical implementation criteria are met. Works with operational owners to handle coaching in prioritizing backlogs and new requests.

    • Fosters relationships between functional areas, and support prioritization of work in coordination with the Provider Informatics team. Responsible for effective interactions that result in a high degree of team/partner satisfaction. Assess change impact of work and establishes change management plans to ensure operational support and adoption.

    • Identifies, tracks and manages risks and mitigation plans within assigned projects, escalating as appropriate. Identifies, tracks and manages issues to resolution within assigned projects, escalating as appropriate. Develops and maintains reporting dashboards suitable for Senior Leadership to communicate project status. Conducts post-project "lessons learned" sessions to identify successful project elements and areas for future improvement.

    • Provides status reports to steering committees. Utilizes a variety of project management methodologies as appropriate to the project. Manages project scope and timeline, using appropriate governance bodies and leadership direction. Provides a high degree of accessibility to project partners and executive leadership.

    • Coaches and positively influences project team members to ensure accountability and action. Works closely with teams across the organization (IT, Performance Improvement, Finance, etc.) to assure consistent approaches, coordinated work efforts, and continuous improvement in PM functions.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering required.

    • 3-4 years of related experience required

    • or equivalent combination of education and experience required

    • Experience in healthcare or higher education field preferred

    • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage projects required

    • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills required

    • Knowledge of the scrum framework or other Agile frameworks, with all its artifacts and techniques preferred

    • Extensive computer literacy, including Agile management tools, Microsoft Teams and Powerpoint preferred

    • Experience leading operational teams through adoption of organizational change preferred

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

    • Agile certification (CSPO, PMI-ACP, DASM or CSM) preferred

    • Change Management certification (Proci or equivalent) preferred

    Pay Range

    Pay Range: $ 48,000 - $ 95,000 Annually

    The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
