  • The Project Manager will lead New Product Development and Life Cycle Management projects, including developing cross-functional resource/budget estimates, project planning, execution and monitorization. The Project Manager will participate in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Project Priority List (PPL), as part of Lean Portfolio Management. The Project Manager will participate in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives as part of Policy Deployment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead New Product Development and Life Cycle Management projects, enabling cross-functional teams to navigate through all activities required to design, develop and commercially release products

    • Develop resource and budget estimates for projects, develop project work breakdown structures, lead the planning, execution and delivery of projects to the marketplace

    • Monitor projects, create and maintain summary scorecards capturing project status

    • Utilize and strengthen established Project Management processes

    • Effectively use Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen, to accelerate product delivery to the marketplace

    • Participate in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Project Priority List (PPL), as part of Lean Portfolio Management

    • As a member of the PMO team, own and/or support continuous improvement (e.g. efficiency, effectiveness, employee engagement)

    • Participate in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives as part of Policy Deployment

    • Responsible for communicating project updates, issues and opportunities to next management level

    Education and Years of Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or technology-related field required Preferred Advanced degree (Master's Degree or Ph.D.)

    • 5+ years of experience, 3+ years in the Medical Device industry field required;

    • Demonstrated success in the management of large, global, complex, highly interrelated programs/projects in Engineering/Technical field.

    • Preferred prior experience in Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen

    • Experience launching new products to market from concept to launch

    • Experience leading Life Cycle Management projects

    • Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience with process improvement, metrics and large scale project management leveraging continuous improvement tools and processes

    • Track record of leading others in reaching their highest potential, encouraging others to pursue challenging goals and to challenging the status quo to develop breakthrough solutions

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
