    In this fast-paced and challenging position, you will be responsible for determining the business and patient care needs of Information Systems customers while supporting the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. This is accomplished through use of project management best practices including activities of evaluating, documenting, and negotiating project deliverables and timelines. Achievement of this primary function requires an individual who possesses knowledge of the hospital's major departments, an understanding of the information systems and technologies typically employed by these departments in the delivery of their services and a comprehension of the data needs of these systems and departments. Also required is knowledge of the purchasing procedures and processes of MHS, and coordination of activities with Information Services and with other MHS departments including Purchasing, Engineering, Bio Med, etc. Additionally, this position will participate in determining and enforcing corporate standards for Personal Computer based departmental and corporate systems including software, hardware, operating systems at both the workstation and network level.

    Your Job Requirements

    • Five (5) years Project Management experience and/or equivalent

    • PMP Preferred

    • Functions well as a member of a team

    • Handle confidential data

    • Effective communication skills with executive and staff level employees

    • Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in all production environments

    Your Responsibilities

    • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, balancing resources, priorities, deadlines and time. The project manager may, on any one project, act in many roles including leader, analyst, advocate, technician, etc. The work is highly technical and the project manager is required to work independently

    • Provide clear direction to vendors regarding the needs of the project and timelines and constraints and provide on-site supervision of project when appropriate

    • Maintain standard and customary documentation of information including written or e-mail confirmation of conversations and decisions, diagrams, and other project information; project information is to be maintained in central location (physical and logical) for access by others in the department in support of the project or as documentation of project results

    • Adhere to procedures used to evaluate new technology and adhere to updated purchasing baselines in an attempt to provide MHD an increasing return on investment (ROI) while minimizing total cost of ownership (TCO)

    • Establish appropriate priorities and a short term course of action, and organizes schedule

    • Consistently submit well documented paperwork within designated timeline for CER, Requisition Forms

    • Consistently follow through on all received product making sure that received product is deployed within designated timeline

    • Provide short term support for projects immediately following completion and hand off of projects to EUS for continued operational support

    • Provide clear direction within the department (Apps, Ops and ENCS) regarding the needs of the project and timelines and constraints
