Project Manager

Steampunk wants you to join our team as a Program Manager to support the design and implementation of mission systems improvements and modernization for a federal client. This includes the documentation of the security strategy, planning, and architecture, which will lead to the eventual build-out of the solution.

Contributions

As a Program Manager , you will be the leader, driving deliveryin a government client consulting environment. You will be a client manager, coach, mentor, and an accountable program manager with a proven track record of leading deployments of solutions in a client environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the technical delivery leader, accountable for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight and client acceptance

• Managing the P/L of their portfolio

• Fostering and promoting innovative thinking across the client environment

• Building and maintaining client relationships, developing a strategic vision for clients and internal teams

• Handling challenging client situations and offering technical and business guidance & direction to client executives

• Managing staff and monitoring performance and training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunities

Qualifications

Requirements:

• US Citizen

• Ability to get Federal Clearance

• Leadership. If you don't know the difference between that and management, this just isn't going to work out.

• Located in Washington DC Metro Area (hybrid / limited travel)

• 5+ Years working in technology

• 5+ Years leading in consulting services

• 7+ Years total experience

• Proven experience of leading the deployment of enterprise and custom Software solutions in client environments

• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process and/or technical problems

• Proven experience growing and selling while delivering

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity

• Proven team player and team builder

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Experience working with Human Center Design

• Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology and a proven background in consulting and project management

Preferred

• PMP, Scrum Master certification preferred

• Federal Clearance Prefered
