The organization is seeking a Logistics Manager to help lead a prolonged strategic planning and execution effort for the organization's Property and Logistics function while remaining cognizant of current operations and integrating where necessary.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The primary initial responsibility will be to develop and then execute a plan to stand up a new property and logistics organization within Nightwing, which has now begun operating as a standalone company. The role will initially focus heavily on assessing the existing current state of policy, procedures, processes, tools, systems, structure, and performance metrics. It will then involve planning the desired future state of the company's property and logistics organization before ultimately helping to facilitate the transition into that future state.

    The current property and logistics footprint is spread across 12 sites and scope for the function covers: material receiving, material control, warehousing, stores, inventory control, material fulfillment, kitting, property management, packaging, shipping, transportation, freight management, and fleet management. These areas must be compliant to Government regulations.

    The organization's Logistics and Property Management policies, procedures, tools, and systems must be compliant, but also optimized for efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. This role will require the individual to interface with various Logistics/Property, Supply Chain, and Program leaders to help build out and manage a fully compliant and optimized property and logistics organization.

    Requirements

    8+ years of applicable experience.

    Must be a US Citizen and possess a DOD Secret Security Clearance. May be required to obtain other customer clearances.

    Knowledge of Property Management in a government contractor environment

    Must have prior hands-on experience managing and operating in a logistics and property environment with personnel management and administration responsibilities

    Ability to conduct planning across a year+ time horizon while in parallel executing on tasks with a much shorter time horizon

    Thrive and multi-task in a high speed, intense environment which requires quick response and a high degree of flexibility

    Knowledge of government FAR and DFAR rules and regulations associated with property and logistics.

    Proven ability to develop strategies to address continuous improvement and enterprise best practices, identifying and analyzing logistics process deficiencies and providing solutions to address a variety of complex inventory, warehousing, shipping, and scheduling requirements

    Critical thinking skills which quantify the impact to organizations in terms of quality, cost, and schedule

    Strong communication and intrapersonal skills, leadership abilities, negotiation skills, cross-functional collaboration ability, and change management skills. Ability to generate and maintain alignment between multiple stakeholders

    Ability to assist and facilitate the procurement process for purchase of company-wide systems and tools

    Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

    May be required to assist with day-to-day property and logistics tasks such as shipping and receiving, if necessary

    Occasional Travel may be required within the local area and out-of-state

    Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS)

    Broad knowledge of Import/Export requirements

    Fleet Management experience

    Program/Project management experience

    Previous experience in managing project budgets

    Supply chain experience/knowledge of purchase order process

    Logistics and property policy review/writing experience

    Performance metrics and dashboard creation/implementation experience

    Possess or be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance in a reasonable timeframe

    Education Requirements

    Bachelor degree required. Preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

    Masters of Business Administration or Supply Chain Management desired, but not required

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
