We seek a RAS Leader who will be responsible for growth and leadership of the practice. This equity partner role may be based out of most of our offices with preference for our DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Raleigh, or Nashville locations.

    Our Risk Advisory Services (~~~/) (RAS) group serves our Advisory, Assurance, Tax, and Transaction Advisory practice areas across the firm. We help clients to evaluate, understand, and address operational, financial, compliance, IT, and strategic risk. We assist our clients with risk solutions including the following: Internal Audit ("IA") Services - Co-sourcing and Out-sourcing (Risk assessment, Control Maturity?, Control testing & remediation [SOX, A-133, FDICIA, industry-specific regulations]?, QAR, QAR Remediation, Internal Audit Strategy, Planning & Design); Risk Management Systems (ERM, Risk & Control Diagnostics, IRM, Vendor Risk Management); Risk Data, Analytics & Automation; Regulatory Compliance (Internal Audit for Financial Services); and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). RAS typically works with mid-size to large public and private commercial clients to provide a full spectrum of risk advisory and control services in diverse business environments across a variety of industries.

    We seek a strategic builder, with strong business acumen, to direct and lead growth, resource utilization, and the client service delivery process for the $25 million (and growing rapidly) RAS practice. The leader will work through the lead RAS partners to coordinate service to clients for the firm. In addition, they will serve as a relationship partner to their own client base (approximately 500 charge hours). The role will involve assisting the RAS partners with quality control; staff selection, scheduling, training, and development; as well as with developing the vision, strategies, and action plans to grow the practice and then drive such strategies and action plans for the practice to the desired revenue growth and margins. While the role will leverage your management, technical, and client service skills, there is an expectation that you will also actively target, pursue, and win new client engagements on behalf of the firm.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute the Firm's strategic plan with respect to the RAS practice, as well as supporting other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.

    • Ensure that RAS services to clients are of the highest quality and that all Firm management, professional practice, and business processes are consistently applied in the practice group.

    • Manage RAS profitability of the practice, including (but not limited to) staffing levels, utilization, salaries, billing rates, realization, WIP, accounts receivable, and controllable expenses, to achieve excellent financial results, including meeting or exceeding budgeted revenues and margins.

    • Develop the practice group's annual budget and manage results against the budget throughout the fiscal year.

    • Consult and collaborate with Market Leaders, Industry Leaders, and other key stakeholders as appropriate for key decisions.

    • Cooperate and collaborate with other service lines (Assurance and Tax), Market Leaders, and Industry Groups to establish targeted revenue and growth goals for the practice as part of the annual budget and business planning process.

    • Leverage our Global Shared Services capabilities, driving billable hours offshore where appropriate through process standardization and scale.

    • Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients.

    • Set an example of personal involvement in client service.

    • Recruit, develop and retain RAS staff. Manage the staff performance evaluation and promotion processes to include partner promotion recommendations.

    • Provide guidance and direction to RAS partners and staff in the practice; review and approve goals and evaluate partner performance; recommend the "contribution level" placement and units for partners in the practice group.

    • Ability to service middle-market clients, but must be flexible to work with clients of varying sizes.

    • Experience in aligning and delivering services across multiple industries or markets (e.g., financial services, industrial, healthcare/life sciences, public sector, technology).

    • Candidate's strongest traits must be in management/development, collaboration, and business development.

    • Travel as high as 50% may be necessary.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or accounting. Masters (MBA, MPA, or similar) preferred.

    • CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA or similar related certifications desired.

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience with 10 working for a management consulting firm or large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.

    • Knowledge and experience with international operations and shared service centers.

    • Experience designing the tools to automate key compliance processes and functions (RPA, AI).

    • Demonstrated ability to embrace and leverage technology.

    • RAS and regulatory compliance background across multiple industries is necessary.
