  • SUMMARY

    The Recruiting Manager is responsible for designing and implementing the property's overall recruitment strategy, lead the full recruitment cycle, and ensure that staffing requirements are met.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

    SHRM-TA, PHR, or SHRM-CP required.

    EXPERIENCE

    Five (5) years of experience in full-cycle recruiting.

    Seven (7) years of combined HR and professional recruiting experience for a property that comprises at least 750 team members.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

    • Must be 21+ years of age.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in written and verbal forms.

    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with ADP timekeeping a plus.

    • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting.

    • Proven ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

    • Must be able to utilize critical-thinking skills to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.

    • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills; be detail-oriented, innovative, flexible, task-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

    • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established guidelines.

    • Expert knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

    • Proven knowledge of recruitment practices, metrics, and guidelines.

    • Proven experience in sourcing/screening active and passive candidates.

    • Adaptability & openness to learning and incorporating new recruiting strategies, tactics, and processes.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino's "Unsurpassed Service" standards at all times.

    • Maintain a detailed database of all Team Members in the department.

    • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Human Resources Office.

    • Understand the entire employment process and stay abreast on all applicable employment laws, new laws, ordinances, and application of the Tribal Preference Policy.

    • Partner with hiring managers and directors to understand business needs and develop talent pipelines through relational recruitment tactics and proactive sourcing.

    • Coach and develop the recruiting team through day-to-day needs as well as long-term developmental goals.

    • Responsible for continuous development, management, and compliance of Gun Lake Tribe and Gun Lake Casino's recruiting strategies, policies, and procedures.

    • Ensure accuracy and presentation of posted job descriptions on websites, print, and/or other media.

    • Create internal and external talent acquisition strategies to achieve the most appropriate sourcing, evaluation, and selection of the most qualified and diverse talent.

    • Provide leadership and direction for college recruiting and internship programs. Oversee the program's coordination, promotion, and execution.

    • Innovate sourcing strategies including, direct networking, internet mining, and advanced internet research to provide marketplace intelligence and identify and attract top talent.

    • Update, develop, and implement recruitment strategies, tactics, pipelines, and procedures.

    • Manage the Applicant Tracking System and all communication flow between the Recruiting Team, Managers, Directors, and the candidates.

    • Track and report recruitment timing, cost, and trends through continuous development of HRIS reporting and analyzing quantitative data.

    • Manage job fairs, open interviews, and other career events.

    • Attend manager meetings and huddles to communicate employment-related information.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

    • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while using a computer.

    • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

    • Ability to access all properties and areas.

    • Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.

    WORK CONDITIONS

    Work is typically in an office environment; however, additional work areas may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail constant contact with fellow Team Members, Management, Vendors, and Guests. High volume and fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
