    As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be a key part of our dedicated team responsible for growing sales and market position for Nelson in the US. Join Nelson and help deliver innovative Heat Trace Solutions to our customers!

    You'll have a defined multi-state region in the Gulf Coast and be based fully remote. The defined region will include Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Travel is required up to 60% annually, mostly within your region and some extending beyond the region for project pursuit activities.

    This position will be supported by an inside sales team and application engineering team. You will work the entire customer base from EPC/Specifier to large construction contractors to end users specializing in oil & gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, and other industries that have heat trace applications. This position will report to the VP Sales.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

    • Develop favorable specifications and engineering standards for Nelson Heat Trace at EPCs Specifiers, contractors, and end customers.

    • Provide tailored customer solutions and direct and execute project pursuit activities to consistently exceed planned objectives and grow market position.

    • Take ownership of project/contract negotiations by presenting strategic product and service offerings and approving proposals/bids.

    • Train, educate, and empower manufacturer rep force to help them achieve sales goals.

    • Develop and meet / exceed planned sales objectives.

    • Commit to a professional development goal of gaining new insights into market and competitive trends to design groundbreaking customer development strategies.

    FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

    • 5+ Years of technical outside sales experience in industrial markets, preferably with a familiarity with heat trace product and applications.

    • Experience with sales management - training reps in industrial products.

    • Knowledge of selling to EPCs, contractors and end-users

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% annually, mostly within your region.

    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART

    • Heat Trace experience.

    • Experience with project pursuit activities.

    • Sales Management experience in industrial / commercial markets.

    • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business Management, or a similar field of study.

    Additional Information

    • Minimum 60% travel.
