    About the Job

    A mid-level sales position in the Southeast region of the U.S with a focus on "value-added" sales and account management handling customer's needs with the appropriate products and services, driving growth of new business, and communicating internally and externally over a multi-state region. Primary focus on key markets and applications within the Steel, Paper, Water Treatment, Utilities, Chemical and Construction.

    Required Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree required; technical or science discipline such as chemistry, biology, or engineering preferred.

    Experience: 4-7 years' Industrial sales experience with a strong technical background required.

    Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.

    Skills: Must present professionally and be a good listener with strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills with an interest in active involvement in customer-facing situations required.

    Abilities: Proven ability to effectively develop, cultivate and sustain relationships on a multi-level, multi-functional basis and ability to manage end market distributors.

    Essential Functions

    • Approximately 30-40% travel.

    • Manages and drives territory performance versus a planned budget while balancing customer needs with Company business objectives and target account plans.

    • Effectively utilizes MLC's CRM system to document sales calls, quotations, reports, key customer information etc.

    • Submits routine reports, such as customer reports, monthly reports, territory performance reports, budgets, forecasts and expense reports in a timely manner. Prepares documents such as price quotes, competitive analyses, contracts, and service obligations.

    • Understands customer end-use markets as well as the technical details relative to the use of Mississippi Lime products in their applications and provides technical support to customer. Maintain strong market and applications understanding and prospects for new business by studying markets and customer needs.
