    $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for an Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our inpatient Adult Psychiatric Unit .

    WORK SCHEDULE

    • 36 hours per week

    • 3x12 shift schedule

    • Night shift only (7:00pm - 7:30am) ABOUT OUR ADULT PSYCHIATRIC UNIT:

    • We have 27 beds and hold 1:4 or 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

    • We treat voluntary and involuntary patients, with key services focused on the geropsych population

    • We provide behavioral health services for depression, anxiety, dementia, psychosis, and psychiatric comorbidities

    • We provide medication management, occupational and recreational therapy, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, and guidance on relaxation and sleep techniques PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Triage incoming patients

    • Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols

    • Monitor and administer oral and injectable medications

    • Coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists

    • Provide personalized care to psychiatric and substance abuse patients with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    • Recent experience with behavioral health patients; either as a licensed RN or as a nursing student

    • Active BLS
