  • Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Long-Term Acute Care Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct or indirect patient care to medically complex patients.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides planningand delivery of direct andindirect patient care

    • Responsible for providingcare to medically complex patients

    • Supervises care, treatment, and servicesof the patient(s)

    • Documents the patient's plan of care usingidentified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomesand selected nursing interventions

    • Maintainsconfidentiality at alltimes with patients,medical staff andco-workers

    • Provides a safe, comfortable andtherapeutic patient environment

    • Experience in acute rehabilitationforvents, wound care, cardiac, stablepost trauma patients

    • Adherestoand supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospitalin an attempt to providequality patient care Revisesplan of care accordingto evaluation, changesinmedical planof care and nursing interventions

    • Performsinterventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, andthehospital policies andpatient care outcome standard

    • Identifiesand prioritizes actions based uponpatient care requirements

    • Supportsprofessional practice by observing the following: Usesknowledge and practicesinaccordance with theNurse Practice Act; Joint Commission, state andlocal laws; and Patient's Bill of Rights hospitalpolicies

    • Performs other dutiesas assigned/necessary

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Current nursinglicense for the state in whichthe nurse practices

    • One (1) year nursingexperience in a longtermacute care facility preferred

    • Abilitytoeffectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals(including, butnot limitedto,supervisors, co-workers, clients)via strong communication skills;proficiency intheEnglish language may be required

    • Computerproficiency required
