    About you and this role

    As a Remediation Technology Manager within the Remediation Technology Center, you will review Remediation Investigation scopes and reports, and evaluate the geological, hydrogeological and geochemical characteristics of remediation sites for the Global Remediation organization. You also will review the spatial and temporal assessment of the contaminants, set site strategy and data collection requirements, and oversee the data collection and implementation of strategy together with the Remediation Managers. The job involves supporting global remediation managers as a hydrogeologist to ensure that selected investigation and remediation strategies encompass all environmental risk elements.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Evaluating site characterization scopes particularly for geology and hydrogeology.

    • Review groundwater models and fate and transport models.

    • Perform groundwater- and transport modelling.

    • Provide recommendations and strategies for site investigations.

    • Review site characterization and investigation reports.

    • Collaborate with other professionals internally and externally like remediation managers, water technology specialists, risk assessors, and environmental scientists and engineers.

    • Based on characterization and investigation reports give advice to the Remediation Managers.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field.

    • A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in high-resolution site characterization including geological and hydrogeological aspects.

    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

    • Occasional travel may be required for this position, 10-20% anticipated.

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Has ability to analyze complex geological and hydrogeological data in combination with chemical data.

    • Has demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

    • Has demonstrated experience in conducting field assessments, collecting samples, intrusive and non-intrusive investigation technologies, and performing environmental monitoring.

    • Has effective problem-solving skills to address environmental challenges and propose suitable mitigation measures.

    • Has demonstrated ability to interact within regulatory frameworks and has experience participating in regulatory negotiations.

    • Has the ability to work with diverse teams, including scientists, engineers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

    • Must have familiarity and experience with groundwater and transport modeling.
