    As a Correspondent Risk - Vice President in Risk Management and Compliance, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of Correspondent counterparty risk tiering and manufacturing quality oversight. By building and fostering relationships with business partners, you will collaborate to provide ongoing independent Risk oversight for operational execution within the business related to new and existing products and programs. You will also support critical Correspondent Lending Transformation initiatives and drive process automation and efficiency within Correspondent Risk.

    Within Home Lending Risk, The Correspondent Risk team provides oversight for the Correspondent Lending channel. This includes Risk oversight of counterparty management, Transformation initiatives, underwriting and fulfillment operational execution, and manufacturing quality.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Correspondent counterparty risk tier process by evaluating risk tier methodology, trend analysis, publishing risk tiers on an established schedule and driving process automation.

    • Monitor Correspondent counterparty manufacturing quality risk through ongoing dialogue with business partners, trend analysis, development of risk metrics and evaluating loan review selection methodology.

    • Lead the selection process to identify Correspondent counterparties for enhanced due diligence reviews, including developing selection methodology, partnering with Risk colleagues across multiple lines of business to identify review candidates and process automation.

    • Develop and foster key partner relationships with Correspondent Lending channel business partners to evaluate operational execution, provide product and program development support and develop metric-driven Risk monitoring.

    • Provide independent risk oversight for Correspondent Lending Transformation initiatives, including implementation of new loan origination system.

    • Support Correspondent Risk modernization and process automation efforts, including enhancements to Correspondent Risk system of record.

    • Conduct ad hoc counterparty and operational analysis, as needed.

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

    • 3+ years of experience in Risk, mortgage originations or related oversight functions in the financial services industry

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Able to convert analysis into concise, executive-level communications.

    • Demonstrated analytical skills, critical thinking, investigative problem-solving, making informed recommendations and ability to communicate to multiples levels of management.

    • Skilled at influencing multiple cross-functional stakeholders and comfortable working in a matrixed environment.

    • Effective at working independently with attention to detail, strong organization, and time management skills.

    • Bachelor's degree required.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

    • Experience in counterparty and credit industry, mortgage underwriting and/or mortgage operations

    • Background in process improvement, Six Sigma and/or automation

    • Experience creating visual reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos
