    RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

    • BSN in nursing and 1 year of community-based psychiatric nursing experience OR RN degree and 2 years of community-based psychiatric nursing experience

    • Valid RN License

    • Pre-Employment Drug Screen

    • Act 33/34/73 Clearances

    • Child Protective Services Law training

    Work Schedule This is an Exempt (salary) position.

    Mostly daylight Monday - Friday 9a-5p and some non-traditional business hours to meet programming needs.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Our Behavioral Health Outpatient Nurses are members of the Adult Outpatient Ambulatory Team whose duties require advanced knowledge of mental health and its effects.

    • Manages and provides client care activities for a group of persons served and their families through independent judgement, communication and collaboration with all team members and establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other Ambulatory Team health care providers, persons served and their significant others to achieve desires outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

    • We offer comprehensive team based care to include on site medication management, tele-psychiatry, individual and group therapy.

    ABOUT YOU

    Must be able to act and respond appropriately and independently, using obtained experience and education, in sometimes unpredictable situations, managing aspects of the client's medication care services and will champion their duties using Pittsburgh Mercy's philosophy, policies, procedures and goals.
