Position Description: RN

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.

• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

• Professional accountability and development.

• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.

• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. Why BayCare? • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

• ACLS Certification is required

• PALS Certification is preferred

• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred Experience: · 1 year of RN experience in acute care is required. · 1 year of RN experience in PACU working with adults and pediatrics is preferred. Specific Skills:

• Interpersonal skills

• Critical thinking skills

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Shift Hours: 8:15 AM - 6:45 PM

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
