Sales Manager, Bar Convent Brooklyn

This is an opportunity to join the Bar Convent Brooklyn team that curates the most premium brands driving the cocktail movement and connects them with the largest number of bartenders and influencers. This global gathering is held in Brooklyn, NY, a mecca for the bar and beverage industry. The event offers an opportunity for top mixologists and influencers to engage in high quality education, tastings and networking.
About the Role
In this role, you will support revenue growth and strategy for the Bar Convent Brooklyn (BCB) event within RX. This includes motivating a sales team to drive revenue, delivering on sales targets and continually seeking new revenue sales opportunities. In addition to supporting the sales team, this role will oversee international sales and manage a territory of accounts.
Responsibilities
Developing sales strategies and execute sales plan for the Bar Convent Brooklyn (BCB) event
Setting sales targets, forecasting, pipeline management and reporting to senior leadership
Managing key accounts using a value-based selling approach and create custom campaigns to increase revenue growth
Coaching and developing a team of sales representatives to support sales initiatives
Supporting International Sales Group and agents and provide relevant sales and marketing information to drive international sales
Developing best practices and share across sales organization
Using market and customer knowledge to contribute to strategic development of BCB
Visiting competitor shows to seek prospects and gain market intelligence to share with show team
Requirements
Have sales and/or account management experience in exhibition, publishing or similar service industry
Possess international experience dealing with clients and/or agents in multiple territories and different cultures
Have proven experience in developing new sales territories and delivering significant revenue growth
Be a collaborative individual with ability to coach and guide a sales team
Be Willing to travel (approximately 60%) and able to operate in diverse and sometimes challenging international markets
Have excellent territory management skills
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
