Job Description

Cherry Bekaert is hiring for a Senior Accountant to join their commercial outsourced accounting and consulting team. This role is open due to growth. Commercial Outsourced Accounting performs accounting ( General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, month end close, financial reporting ) for multiple clients. This is a fast-paced environment where the candidate will have to juggle multiple deliverables, tasks, and projects daily. Those who thrive here have a strong work ethic, self-starter, team player, and problem solver.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Responsible for month end closing processes including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting account analysis.

• Produces timely and accurate financial statements, compliant with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Participates in or directs the development of accounting policy and administers approved internal controls, accounting procedures and workflows.

• Manages operational data and ensuring data integrity/accuracy, developing proper documentation, internal control and troubleshooting procedures.

• Evaluates job responsibilities for ways to streamline, gain efficiencies and works to leverage other team members skill sets to provide excellent client service

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license is preferred

• 3-6 years of Accounting/Finance experience

• Prior experience working in a Commercial accounting or public accounting role

• Desire to be in fast growth environment and in a high visibility position

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and or Finance

The salary range for this position is $74,385 to $124,400. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
