    Position Overview:

    Designs, implements, and executes strategic growth and development plans to ensure the success, mission-relevance, and financial sustainability of the Sutter research enterprise and evolving support services to optimize research performance. Champions research engagement with investigators and administrative leadership. Develops infrastructure and processes to improve overall efficiencies; oversees the business and financial aspects of clinical trials research with a goal of achieving financial sustainability; and supports professional development and satisfaction through leadership of and participation in research.

    This role will be responsible for the end-to-end feasibility, clinical trials startup, patient recruitment, consent and accrual, trial management, data collection, and study closeout for all industry sponsored clinical trials. Scope of responsibility will be to consolidate and standardize the clinical research coordinator operations of our current research institutes into one entity and blend it with the administrative functions to create an end-to-end team built around service lines and local market patient support, while ultimately focusing on driving more industry sponsored trials into Sutter.

    This is a work from home position with onsite requirements in the Bay or Sacramento Valley. The successful candidate will live within the Sutter footprint.

    Job Description :

    EDUCATION:

    Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

    • Master's: Research, Applied Science, Finance, Management or Healthcare

    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

    • 15 years of recent relevant experience.

    • Experience leading a cross- functional team, including clinical research coordinators and research budgeting and finance staff is preferred.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • Extensive knowledge of research administrative practices, regulatory and compliance standards, and accounting practices.

    • Advanced training in clinical research.

    • Interpersonal and presentation skills to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences.

    • Demonstrates ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

    • Credible leadership presence with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness and authority; and the ability to engage others.

    Pay Range is $97.51 to $156.02 / hour. Bay Area Pay Range is $110.80 to $177.29 / hour.

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
