    Position Overview:

    This position is available to work from home in California. Preferable to live or relocate within the Sutter Health footprint in Northern California.

    Is accountable for all strategic sourcing activities for supplies, equipment and purchased services representing over $2 billion in company expenditures. Responsibilities include annual budget projections, project planning, analysis of product/service utilization, setting value goals with Sutter executives throughout the contracting process, price management and supplier performance. Is the subject matter experts of the health care manufacturing market. Develops and executes customer-focused business plans and operational strategies that respond to unique market factors such as size, demographics, competitors and targeted patient expectations.

    EDUCATION:

    Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

    Bachelor's: Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain, or related field

    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

    15 years of recent relevant experience.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    Ability to lead multidisciplinary groups and do effective senior leader presentations

    Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.

    Ability to synthesize data and create meaningful presentation

    Ability to quickly grasp data provided in opportunity analyses and effectively secure feedback to the supplying source as to its quality

    Knowledge of healthcare products and equipment, inventory sources, and alternative sources of supply, purchasing, and distribution systems, contract administration, and new or emerging trends in the industry

    Team leadership and organization skills

    Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

    Ability to manage complex situations with a high degree of variation

    Adaptable with a high tolerance of ambiguity

    Ability to successfully facilitate team meetings that may involve competing objectives

    Pay Range is $88.63 to $141.82 / hour

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
