    Job Description:

    The Sr. Manager of Finance Data Management will oversee the design and implementation of data-driven strategies that support Finance's vision to drive industry leading planning and reporting practices through the optimization of data and technology. This individual will lead a cross-functional product team consisting of 5 data engineers that report into the Business Technology organization. This product team is responsible for the identification, analysis and interpretation of finance related data; ensuring seamless data connectivity from source systems to reporting solutions.

    • Enable the Finance data strategy by identifying and prioritizing analytical and reporting requirements with a focus on streamlining data accessibility and increasing automation.

    • Educate and inform stakeholders of existing data domains and data flow patterns with the intent to reuse what is already existing vs defaulting to always building from scratch.

    • Partner with stakeholders across departments and product teams in assessing analytical and reporting requirements; understand dependencies and competing priorities and ensure opportunities meet objectives.

    • Advance the development of the Finance Management Reporting product team roadmap, partnering with stakeholders on requirements gathering and prioritization.

    • Lead a cross functional product team consisting of Business Technology data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high performing environment.

    • Actively manage and escalate risks and critical issues to management.

    • Oversee and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and controls within Finance data domains.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing the outcomes of the Finance Management Reporting product team that performs data and report analysis and provides intelligence and recommendations to solve Finance's data and reporting needs.

    • Understands Finance's data landscape and supports the strategy to modernize and simplify its data structures to drive efficiency and automation.

    • Provides thought leadership and strategic thinking to solve business problems by working with the product team to leverage the right technology (Application Programming Interface (APIs), Cloud Data Fabric (CDF), Air9, Oracle EPM, Tableau, etc.).

    • Partners with stakeholders in identifying analytical and reporting requirements with desired outcomes. Supports the product team throughout their design ensuring data analytic solutions and patterns meet business needs.

    • Identifies areas for improvement in how the data is structured and organized to maximize performance and increase throughput.

    • Supports the team in ensuring they are designing and deploying data ingestion and processing frameworks that leverage proven technologies that meet business needs and drive efficiencies.

    • Meets with stakeholders to review and prioritize initiatives aligned to business goals.

    • Oversees product team's backlog and manage capacity to ensure priorities are being addressed and issues are being mitigated.

    • Creates and validates user story acceptance criteria. Defines and ensures appropriate testing frameworks are in place. Inspect and evaluate progress through design, development, and deployment.

    • Partners with data stewards in their respective LOBs to ensure required Data quality controls are identified and implemented.

    Qualifications You'll Need

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or related

    • 8+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related

    • In lieu of education requirement, 10+ years of experience Product, Business, Technical, or related

    • Familiar with data warehouse concepts, structures, and platforms

    • Able to speak to database schemas, tables, and data structures with stakeholders

    • Familiar with establishing and maintaining financial data controls

    Bonus if you have

    • 2+ years of experience in People Management

    • Experience with:

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Simple Storage Service (S3) for data storage and processing

    • Snowflake Platform to enable data storage, processing, and analytic solutions

    • Teradata

    • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) scripts to migrate data from one solution to another

    • Product team operating model

    • Jira software for planning and tracking requirements and team capacity and Jira X-Ray software for documenting and managing test cases and defects

    Compensation:

    The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
