    About Walmart Energy Transformation

    The Walmart Energy Transformation team is a newly reimagined energy team that was created to ensure the team has the resources and internal positioning to deliver on Walmart's energy-related regenerative goals. The team now reports directly to the COO of Walmart US and the Chief Sustainability Officer.

    This new organization is responsible for:

    Buying energy and optimizing for the lowest cost in regulated and wholesale markets. Meeting our renewable's goal of 100% renewables by 2030. Increasing the energy efficiency and reducing emissions across our facilities. Meeting our 2040 Zero Emissions goal, including transitioning our fleet to zero emissions vehicles.

    We are a team of seasoned energy veterans dedicated to realizing Walmart's regenerative commitments and leveraging Walmart's platform to support the decarbonization of our customers, associates, communities and suppliers. Because energy touches everything, we work across Walmart, particularly real estate, facilities, supply chain, network design, transportation and customer experience. We have come from across Walmart, utilities, developers, banking, clean energy consulting and environmental consulting.

    The Job

    You will play a critical role in shaping the approach to HVAC/R design in Walmart's facilities. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in HVAC/R design and construction, storytelling and project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in engineering and production. This position will be an individual contributor.

    • Lead cross-functional working teams made of internal and external stakeholders to design lean and integrated HVAC/R systems

    • Develop energy and carbon emissions reduction programs with associated value proposition (cost savings, total cost of ownership, return on investment, etc)

    • Spearhead project and/or process management/improvement activities

    • Manage the reduction and reporting of emissions and other metrics related to HVAC/R systems

    • Support renewable energy opportunities and initiatives as part of decarbonization strategy

    • Collaborate with Tech, Product and Design teams to develop data tools and resources

    • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources

    • Develop contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning

    • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders

    • You have breadth and depth of knowledge in building systems design and energy analysis

    • You have strong analytical skills with an engineering, HVAC/R and/or controls background

    • You have shepherded building energy savings measures from concept or design through the construction phase and post-occupancy periods

    • You have demonstrated capability to think strategically and work towards a holistic long-term vision but, equally importantly, you are capable of driving results in-year by crafting plans and leading teams in execution.

    • You can thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment to deliver results

    Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.     The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

    Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

    Minimum Qualifications...

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Science, or related field and 4 years' experience in program management, operations management, design innovation, financial analysis, or related area OR 6 years' experience in program management, operations management, design innovation, financial analysis, or related area.

    2 years' experience using Microsoft Office.

    2 years' supervisory experience.
