    Job Description:

    Responsible for managing the company's payroll team. Develops and implements controls necessary for payroll processing, including payroll operations, disbursement, taxation, and reporting processes. Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, international, and local country requirements. Manages payroll operations and integrates capabilities to meet business needs. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk and compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages a team, including hiring, performance, and development decisions.

    • Leads the development of global payroll strategy, planning, communications, and improvement of processes. Critically reviews and analyzes current payroll, and tax legislation and procedures in order to recommend and implement changes. Identifies opportunities for process improvement through technology and process changes.

    • Manages and monitors the team to ensure appropriate controls have been established and are being followed. Ensures the submission of accurate data and information to tax authorities, government agencies, and legal systems. Audits payroll processes to ensure accuracy of processing and timely corrections of errors. Sets up and monitors control mechanisms and recommends changes.

    • Manages monthly, weekly, and bi-weekly disbursement of multi-country and multi-state payroll. Manages garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with international, local country, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

    Minimum Qualifications

    At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Mathematics, Accounting, or other quantitative field

    • 8+ years of experience in HR, accounting, payroll, people management, or related field

    • In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in HR, accounting, payroll, or related field

    Preferred Qualifications

    If we had our say, we'd also look for:

    • 10+ years of experience in HR, accounting, payroll, people management, or related field

    • CPP

    Compensation:

    The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
