    WSP is hiring for a full-time Senior Marketing Consultant to join the Pacific Mountain West Strategic Growth team in our Seattle, WA office.

    This is an opportunity to be a part of delivering critical infrastructure that supports the safe and sustainable growth of the communities in which we live, work and play with a focus on the Pacific Mountain West territory. The Senior Marketing Consultant will work with a variety of staff (from planners and engineers to designers and construction managers) across the vertical and horizontal infrastructure markets (Transportation, Water, Advisory, Energy, and Property and Buildings) to support and lead the development of proposals, qualification packages, award submittals, resumes, project descriptions, and data management. The Senior Marketing Consultant will be responsible for supporting or leading key pursuits, serving as a proposal manager and/or interview coach, and will work closely with the marketing manager to support successful implementation of strategic growth initiatives and client engagement plans.

    We are looking for a motivated people-person with excellent writing and communication skills to lead the proposal process and support our fast-paced workflow. The position requires strong marketing and business development leadership skills for a large, multidisciplinary engineering operation. While our ideal candidate will bring experience in the AEC or professional services industries, what we're looking for someone who is collaborative, strategic, and has a special knack for creativity and persuasive storytelling.     Your Impact

    The main responsibilities for this position include

    • Provide client management and pursuit strategy support to business leaders in the PMW territory

    • Provide oversight for pursuits and proposal development

    • Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other marketing materials are compliant, accurate, compelling, and delivered in a timely manner

    • Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP

    • Organizes and facilitates pursuit strategy meetings

    • Collaborates with technical staff to write original content and reviews/edits content for clarity, compliance and key messages

    • Organizes and coaches technical staff in the interview phase of a pursuit

    • Supports client engagement teams by preparing materials for internal and external meetings, as well as participating in client engagement team meetings

    • May supervise work of marketing coordinators (I, II and III)

    • Follows WSP's high standards for ethical behavior and quality in all marketing activities

    • Other duties as assigned

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the AEC industry preferred, background in journalism, publishing or communications ideal

    • Experience supervising and developing marketing and business development acumen across technical and marketing teams

    • Excellent communication and coordination skills (both oral and written)

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs

    • Advanced skills in InDesign is a plus

    • Possesses a strategic mindset

    • Excellent organizational and editorial skills along with liaison capabilities and knowledge of business development procedures is required

    • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse pursuit teams towards a positive outcome

    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously

    • Demonstrated experience managing standard and complex proposals from onset to conclusion with general guidance

    • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in completing tasks

    • Proficient in common grammar, punctuation, proofing and business writing

    • Knowledge of AEC industry, terms, and definitions is highly desired

    • Ability to produce high quality materials under deadline pressure

    • Ability to train others on company policy and procedures

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Willingness and ability to travel within the district and region, as needed

    Compensation

    Expected Salary (all locations): $87,400 - $116,000

    WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
