    THE ENERGY TEAM

    Our Energy Group at Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) builds projects from the field to the grid. Whether it's a solar, battery storage, substation, EV charging, microgrid, or converter station project, our skilled project managers, engineers, and field employees deliver when it matters most.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We are seeking a Senior Project Manager that will manage projects and project teams successfully from qualification, through estimate, pre-construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout. In collaboration with the Superintendent and field team, this role is responsible for ensuring all project and contractual agreements are met and performed safely and professionally within established budgets and timeframes. You will play a key role in establishing team member roles and responsibilities and taking the lead in defining the structure and communication expectations to ensure efficient work and progression.

    • Customers: Maintain effective relationships with customers and partners. Advocate for/be an ambassador for CEI.

    • New Business: Source and acquire new projects. Quote and manage new projects to meet new business partners.

    • Current Business: Manage projects to meet financial goals. Manage projects to spec and plan. Establish project execution plan. Action plan to fix problem jobs. Stay connected to project from beginning to end.

    • Organization: Collaborate with CEI groups to bid and execute. Work with Production/CIG/Customer to meet project plan objectives. Coordinate with Purchasing Team.

    • Information: Maintain Business Information System accurately. Use Information System to track project and pipeline status - focus on key problems. Utilize Salesforce, pipeline information management/upkeep.

    • Development: Assist in training/development of new hires assigned to support projects.

    ABOUT YOU

    You have notable experience managing people and projects within the commercial, utility, alternative energy, or data center markets. You possess dynamic leadership and management skills to influence and drive positive outcomes. Developing and growing your team members is just as important as successfully managing the planning, execution, and financial performance of your projects. You bring a breadth of technical knowledge in the estimating, project cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting methods necessary to profitably complete electrical construction projects.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

    Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.

    Licensure/Certifications: None required.

    Experience: Five (5) years of experience in Utility/Substation electrical construction project management work on multi-million-dollar jobs. Design/build, pricing and equipment productivity, derivation of labor rates, take off from plans and specs.

    Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
