    The role of Senior Project Manager is to manage the design and delivery of small to large projects and to develop and maintain relations with current and future clients within our business line. By managing projects as if they were our own, our project managers and technical experts work with clients to strategize, plan, and implement projects that help them achieve their organization's objectives.     Your Key Responsibilities

    Joining our team as a Senior Project Manager offers significant opportunities for mentorship and growth, through work on diverse projects, both small and large. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, empowerment, and thought leadership.

    • Management of multiple projects to prioritize and control scope, budget and schedule are of utmost importance.

    • Communicate daily with the client and project team.

    • Lead the Design Team consisting of Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers and subject matter experts.

    • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.

    • Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.

    • Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and design approach for project pursuits, and support marketing and business development.

    • Track progress against proposed scope, fee, schedule, and budget, communicate with stakeholders, identify and offer options to mitigate risk.

    • Set and maintain business development targets.

    • Mentor and grow a team of skilled project managers.

    • Interact extensively with clients, including developing new and existing relationships. Maintain personal relationships with clients to expand business opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • Exceptional Project Management or Project Controls background with design fees exceeding $1,000,000.

    • Team player with experience building, leading, and managing a design team.

    • Ability and experience in preparing comprehensive budgets, project schedules, planning and managing project revenue and expenses, tracking earned value and estimate to complete.

    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

    • Highly motivated with the desire to work in fast paced team-oriented environment.

    • Strong communication skills to support internal team discussions as well as client focused discussions including negotiation skills and technical writing for professional deliverables.

    • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.

    • LEED professional or member of professional societies ASHRAE, ASPE, USGBC, CPD are a plus.

    • Design-build and alternate project delivery experience is a plus.

    Education and Experience

    • 10 years of related experience (Consulting preferred) with a minimum 5 years of project management experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent relevant experience.

    • Broad general knowledge of various buildings designs, including a strong familiarity with multiple disciplines including Chemical Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineering as well as Architecture and Interior Design

    • PMP certification, RA, PE is desirable

    Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

    Salary Range(s):

    • NYC $126,000 / Outside NYC $100,000 - NYC $189,000 / Outside NYC $150,000 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY

    The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
