    Our ideal Senior Strategic Buyer will lead our strategic sourcing from new product launch to ongoing category management and excellence.

    Location: This is a Hybrid position - the team works onsite 2x per week at our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters.

    In your main role at X-Rite Pantone, you will:

    • Deliver the best total cost of acquisition for the business through sound procurement strategy, with a focus on cost reduction measures and on time new product launches.

    • Through global commodity strategy and supplier selection, handle all aspects of our supply chain strategy and procurement decision-making to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost.

    • Lead and run cost improvement projects involving complex, precision components and assemblies requiring significant engagement from engineering, marketing, and operations.

    • Support the documentation and validation of all purchased parts from concept, quote through production approval (PPAP) and hand-off to production planning and buying.

    • Drive on-time-delivery for all actions and participate in risk mitigation/problem-solving activities, lead cross-functional daily management, and facilitate smooth transition from pre-production to mass-production.

    • Comfort with working independently to capture new opportunities and drive results and is organized to track projects broadly from individual contributors to senior level leaders.

    Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

    • 5-10 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role managing supplier relationships, facilitating supplier selection and sourcing new components, assemblies and systems

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business.

    • Experience and exposure in production part approval processes, inventory management, negotiation, commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, work with international suppliers, strong MS Office capabilities.

    • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding objectives, savings targets, and performance indicators.

    • Ability to travel 5% time, internationally on occasion
