  • Amentum is a leading contractor to the U.S. federal government and select allied national governments, supporting programs of critical national significance across defense, security and intelligence, energy and environmental cleanup.

    The Senior Vice President, Investor Relations reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will be responsible for developing and overseeing execution of the investor relations strategy. The candidate will leverage a strong understanding of the investment community, including buy-side and sell-side areas of focus and methods for assessing company value, and they will collaborate with executive leadership to advance engagement. The position will drive transparent and effective communication with shareholders, analysts, and the broader financial community. The candidate will also lead efforts to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all external-facing channels.

    This is a hybrid role, the candidate will work remote-telework and be on-site when required. The ideal candidate will be able to commute to our offices in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute comprehensive investor relations strategies to effectively communicate the company's financial performance, goals, and strategies to the investment community.

    • Foster relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and key stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and credibility in the financial markets.

    • Lead the preparation of quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and other financial communications materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate messaging.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to articulate the company's strategic vision, financial outlook, and business initiatives to investors and analysts.

    • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to provide timely insights and recommendations to senior management.

    • Organize and coordinate investor conferences, roadshows, and other events to engage with current and potential investors, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a strong investor network.

    • Act as a key liaison between the company and the investment community, addressing inquiries, managing investor relations websites, and facilitating investor meetings.

    • Provide guidance on disclosure policies and compliance with relevant securities regulations to ensure transparent and consistent communication with investors.

    • Stay abreast of best practices in investor relations and financial communications, recommending improvements to optimize the company's investor relations program.

    • Manage interactions and communications with existing and potential shareholders as well as analysts; be intuitive and responsive to investor and analyst information needs in compliance with company policies and securities regulations.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to advance engagement with analysts to achieve coverage that recognizes portfolio value and aligns with the corporate growth trajectory.

    • Conduct targeted outreach to the financial community through planning and organizing conferences, non-deal roadshows, quarterly updates, and Analyst Days.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to synthesize business intelligence, including real-time insights and analysis of analyst research, investor sentiment, competitor activity, and effectively prepare executive leadership and other internal stakeholders for investor interactions

    • Collaborate closely with corporate communications and other cross-functional partners to maintain consistent external messaging

    • Partner with the legal team to develop securities filings and other disclosures and help ensure compliance with company policies and securities regulations, including Reg FD, across corporate communications and investor and analyst interactions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

    • 10-15 years of relevant experience in investor relations, investment banking, or equity research experience

    • Proven experience in a senior investor relations role within a publicly traded company, preferably in the government services sector.

    • Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and valuation techniques.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in a clear and compelling manner.

    • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.

    • In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations and compliance requirements.

    • Strategic thinker with the ability to align investor relations activities with overall corporate goals.

    • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and lead a team effectively.

    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

    • High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
