    What is the job about?

    We at Grundfos USA are looking for a Field Service Manager to manage our Aurora, IL service center.

    As a Field Service Manager, you are responsible for the execution of repair and maintenance work, as agreed with the customer. Repair and maintenance take place either in the service center or on the field. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction in the assigned market, are technical accountable and work independently or together with ASPs (Authorized Service Partners) to address customer requests in an efficient and professional manner.

    In this role, you will report to the Head of Service Delivery, Mid West and work on-site at our Aurora, IL service center.

    Your main responsibilities :

    • Conducts risk assessments for tasks and reports Safety, Health, and Environment concerns.

    • Performs disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of parts for pumps, pump systems, and accessories in field service environments.

    • Provides advice to customers on system shortcomings and offers solutions to prevent problems.

    • Assists in identifying and resolving service and warranty issues, assigning technicians, and maintaining service schedules to meet commitments.

    • Maintain a dynamic and efficient service schedule and assign service technicians to service calls while optimizing response times and ensuring service quality.

    • Prepares comprehensive service reports, registers product quality issues, and diligently records work hours.

    • Supports project execution, executes maintenance services, and communicates relevant information to stakeholders.

    • Supervises and directs onsite service provided by ASPs, ensuring compliance with service standards.

    • Provides technical support to ASPs and manages complex projects.

    • Contributes to maintenance contract content, performs root cause analysis on downtime events, and mentors junior technicians.

    • Demonstrates 5S culture adherence, prepares quotes for out-of-warranty repairs, and gathers installed base information.

    • Pursues ongoing learning and development, masters service tools, and upholds Grundfos core values.

    Your background

    We imagine that you have

    • Technical education or knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering.

    • 5 -7 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment.

    • Experience managing a team of technicians or field engineers.

    • Knowledge of controls, remote monitoring and connectivity would be an asset.

    • Experience driving well-defined processes within the service environment.

    • Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment.

    • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in relation to workshop and field service.

    • Knowledge of best practices and systems in the service environment

    • Managing small team projects, work and efforts.
