    Position Details:

    Responsibilities:

    The Spiritual Care Coordinator Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) is a full clinical member of the health care team and is considered the lead expert in Spiritual Care issues.The Spiritual Care Coordinator collaborates with the manager and/or director of spiritual care, hospital leadership, chaplain team, and other team members to ensure that their areas of responsibility maintain the high standards of the Spiritual Care department. The coordinator assumes advanced responsibilities for the organization of their designated areas in collaboration with the manager and director. The coordinator seeks to ensure that patient care is prioritized. The coordinator attends hospital and/or departmental huddle, first focus or other meetings, as designated, on behalf of the department, to ensure that regulatory standards for the area/department are maintained. Spiritual Care Coordinators may assume responsibility for assisting in scheduling of chaplain coverage as directed. The coordinator may assume management of volunteer coordination and student coordination/mentoring/orientation for their area/hospital.

    Certifications and Licensures

    • NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains)

    • Or APC (Association of Professional Chaplains)

    • Or NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains)

    Education

    • Master's Degree from an accredited university in Theology, Divinity, or related field.

    • Required - Ecclesiastical endorsement

    • Required - 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education

    Experience

    • 3 years Healthcare in related field

    • Preferred 3 years leadership in related field
