The Senior Accountant furthers the company's goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Top-notch analytical skills are vital to the duties of this position. In addition to the solid compensation and benefits, this permanent position offers the possibility of growth.

What you get to do every single day

• Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Engage in various department-wide initiatives

• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

Requirements - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Exceptional time management skills preferred

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• 7+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience

• Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Month end closings experience highly desired

• Knowledge of general ledger

• Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation

• Foundational knowledge in journal entries

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

• Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems
