Sr. Accountant

Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Sr./Staff Accountant to join our team near Weatherford, Texas. This role will involve a range of accounting tasks, including cash flow management, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the development, improvement, and confidentiality of financial processes and data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes

• Collaborate with other accounting team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

• Assist with internal and external audits as needed

• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and data

• Manage cash flow and prepare financial statements

• Handle journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in journal entries is required

• Experience in cash flow management is crucial

• Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements is necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and taxation
